Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
In this model, a third party hosts hardware, software, applications and infrastructure elements needed for a business on behalf of its users. Platform as a Service (PaaS)
With PaaS model, the provider hosts the hardware and software on their own infrastructure and delivers applications on the Internet as a service to their clients. This model eliminates the need to install in-house hardware and software to run a new application and the user(s) can log in to start accessing the platform, generally via the internet. Charged on pay-per-use on a monthly basis, this model has auto-provisioning of underlying infrastructure with scalability, security, integration, deployment, etc.
Software as a Service (SaaS)
This model uses software distribution model in which a service provider hosts the applications via the Internet to a customer’s network. SaaS shares the characteristics of ASP and on-demand computing delivery models and provides easy administration, compatibility, automatic updates and global accessibility.
